Every Fifteen Minutes is an alcohol, drug, texting awareness video on the perils of such activities combined with driving and the tragic outcomes of this combination creating a drunk driving accident every fifteen minutes in the United States.
The 'what if' premise of E15M is to create a reality style setup and accident created by a group of volunteer student actors and participants, along with parents, faculty, a video crew and a host of local emergency services. Some of the agencies include CHP, Chico PD, Enloe Hospital, the fire department and funeral home.
It is not real. The program demonstrates in a lunchtime school assembly the inner workings of a bad accident, how people are affected and how professional responders, deal with the situation. The aftermath covered as well, by the hospital, funeral home parents friends and loved ones.
