The English band recorded the song for their 2004 debut album "Hopes and Fears".
Released as the album's lead single, "Somewhere Only We Know" became their biggest hit and signature song!

A cover of the song by Lily Allen has been prominently used in a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis since 2013.

Needless to say, the emotional track makes for a wonderful piano cover!
