Описание: Nordlys is the third singleplayer War Story featured in Battlefield V. It is set in Norway in Winter 1943 during the German occupation. It tells the story of Solveig Fia Bjørnstad, a young woman who must wage a one-woman guerrilla war in the mountains, not only to thwart the German export of heavy water, used for research into atomic weapons, but also to save her captured mother, Astrid.

The campaign is primarily stealth orientated with a focus on mobility and environmental hazards. Skis is a mechanic featured prominently, as well as Hypothermia.

For three years, Norway, along with most of Western Europe, has been under occupation by Nazi Germany. Since the evacuation of its royal monarchy and the installation of a puppet government in 1940, the territory has been used by the Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe to extend control over the North Seas. 400,000 Wehrmacht soldiers have been stationed in the country to protect these interests, while the general population is under the control of the Geheime Staatspolizei, the Gestapo. Despite this, during 1943, Norwegian saboteurs collaborate with the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) in commando missions to cripple the war effort, one of which is a heavy water production plant at Rjukan, Telemark.

Injured but alive, Solveig awakens to the distant sounds of German search parties descending upon the ravine. In the bitter cold and driving winds of a snowstorm, she proceeds through the area in order to deliver the dossier to a resistance dead drop, but accidentally slips into a river and almost dies from hypothermia. With the last of her strength, she shambles to a nearby cabin, surprising the German resting inside, killing him before fainting.

WOLF AND DOG
Solveig retrieves opens the dossier to find a letter written by Astrid to the resistance. She reveals that millions of lives are at stake if Germany succeeds in creating a working atomic bomb from heavy water. Armed with this knowledge, Solveig sets out on a journey to cripple the heavy water shipments in a dockyard and a warehouse, as well as destroying Norwegian resistance intel collected by the Gestapo in their headquarters in a nearby village.

Reconning the other side of the frozen fjord, she comes across a heavily guarded bunker. Infiltrating the base, she discovers more heavy water being prepared for transport within a convoy of trucks, as well as Astrid escorted by Weber. Upon learning that Astrid knows of the German atomic weapons program, he reveals his own motivations for helping with the project - namely ensuring that they beat the British or Russians in building the bomb. Solveig is found by a German soldier, alerting Weber, and the convoy escapes with the shipment. Solveig gives chase across the ice on a Kettenkrad, catching up with the trucks in the middle of the lake. However a German U-Boat surfaces and begins taking aboard the remaining heavy water, as Weber and Astrid also embark for Germany. Solveig tries desperately to free her mother by shooting her guards, but she is surrounded and disarmed, while Astrid is shot by Weber during her escape attempt. Astrid makes one last move by detonating a stick grenade, killing herself and Weber, and sinking the submarine and the heavy water on board. Solveig's own fate is not shown.

Later in the same year, Operation Gunnerside would take place, sinking a shipment of heavy water in a ferry, led by Norwegian SOE saboteurs.
