Ambiences in the Park with Roland S1 synth and MXR Layers and Fieldtone Weaver pedals

Описание: This was a fun little experiment in taking a few music making bits to the park.
I'd recently had an operation and have been stuck in the house for 3 weeks so this was the first time fully leaving the house to get some fresh air and exercise.

I brought the little Roland S-1 synth and the MXR Layers and Fieldstone Weaver pedals to my local park by the river.
They are powered by a USB battery bank and recorded onto a Tascam X8 portable recorder.

I have found that there is quite a bit of electrical noise from the battery bank. I tried to minimise it by using a 9v battery on the Weaver and various other cable routings but it still persisted. I have used some noise reduction on the audio files to manage it a bit.

Since this recording, I have sourced a more suitable (less noisy) portable power supply so I will be giving that a try next time.

I didn't have any plan in mind for the recording, I just picked some some sequences I had already created on the Roland S-1 and then improvised from there. Enjoying the outdoors and local insects.
