Описание: ET Now Business Conclave And Awards 2025 : The country's higher education system needs a transformation to fulfil the country's dream to be a Viksit Bharat, said Shashank Shah, Senior Specialist - Viksit Bharat Planning, Niti Ayog. Addressing the ET Now Business Conclave And Awards 2025, Shashank said that it's time to change our mindset of higher education. "The universities and the students studying at higher education institutes should switch from campus placement mindset to entrepreneurial mindset," he said.
"If 5 per cent of India's graduates can be a successful entrepreneur, they can create 50 to 55 lakh jobs yearly. India within next decade needs to generate one crore jobs yearly to tackle unemployment. So the country's higher education should focus on talent pools in startup and entrepreneurship," Shashank said. Talking about the value of internships, Shashank said that internships played a key role in shaping graduates industry-ready.
