GW Jazz principals Gillian & Gordon played the support set for a top quality line up of musicians led by trumpeter Jay Phelps, celebrating the music of Miles Davis. The camera was directed straight into the dj booth, capturing the action with no filters. All banter (and marital squabbles..?) were caught. All guests coming into the booth were captured and in hindsight, this recording was the last physical interaction with the great label head of Ubuntu Music, Martin Hummel, who sadly passed away in January 2025.
This raw, imperfect footage capturing the full essence of the world renown Jazz Cafe.
