Dysthmia is a clinical diagnosis where a person presents with depression for a two year period. People who struggle with high functioning depression are able to function by working and still caring for themselves. The signs and symptoms of high functioning of depression are less severe than major depression. However, they still need to be addressed in a healthy manner.
