SE Health Session – Fall in Elderly

Описание: A very important Health talk show on a major topic “Fall in Elderly” was organised by Support Elders on 13th August, 2022. Dr K. Basu Saha, a Medical Research Scholar and a Professor in UK, spoke about various reasons which lead to fall in Elderly along with a presentation to make it interesting and comprehensible. She explained with statistical data of elderly population of the world and India, how “Fall in Elderly” is one of the greatest concerns among the elderly throughout the world. She explained the various reasons behind them, the precautionary measures and easy home modifications to prevent fall like hand rails, anti-skid mats, skirting or motion sensor lights, to name a few. She pointed out the Dos and Don’ts and also some simple measures which will help the seniors to take care of themselves. She pointed out how the Fall Alert service of Support Elders has helped her parents and her to stay worriless, even after staying miles away from them.

Chattopadhyay said, “Really liked the session. She described the information very simply for us to understand.” Ms M. De said, “Thank you so much for arranging such an important discussion.” Ms K.
