This Fried Shrimp Taco’s Recipe with pickled red cabbage, avocado & tomato salsa and lemon yoghurt is the best combination. The sweet and sour of the red cabbage together with the freshness of the salsa works perfect with the flavorful and crispy fried shrimps. All balanced between an authentic corn tortilla. Taco’s always take some time to make but this recipe is quick and definitely with it.

Crispy Shrimp Taco's Equipment:
🔶 1 Knife
🔶 1 Cutting board
🔶 1 Frying pan
🔶 1 Small bowl
🔶 1 Sauce pan
🔶 1 Kitchen tong
🔶 1 Wire rack
Crispy Shrimp Taco's Ingredients:
For The Fried Shrimps:
🔶 12 Shrimps
🔶 300 g Flour
🔶 50 g Cornstarch
🔶 2 tbsp Garlic powder
🔶 2 tbsp Paprika Powder
🔶 2 tbsp Onion powder
🔶 1 tbsp Salt
🔶 1 tbsp Black pepper
🔶 Water
🔶 Sunflower oil For frying
For The Pickled Red Cabbage:
🔶 ¼ Red cabbage
🔶 50 ml Apple cider vinegar
🔶 50 ml White vinegar
🔶 100 ml Water
🔶 50 g Sugar
For The Tomato & Avocado Salsa
🔶 1 Avocado
🔶 1 ½ Tomatoes
🔶 Cilantro
🔶 1 Lime Juice
🔶 Salt & black pepper
Extra Ingredients:
🔶 6 Corn tortilla's
🔶 4 tbsp Yoghurt
🔶 ½ Lemon Juice
🔶 Sriracha Optional
Crispy Shrimp Taco's Instructions:
For The Pickled Red Cabbage:
🔶 Add to a sauce pan and add the apple cider vinegar, white vinegar, water and sugar. Heat this up till the sugar is dissolved.
🔶 Cut the red cabbage and add to a bowl.
🔶 Add the juice to the cabbage and give this a mix. Set it aside.
For The Avocado & Tomato Salsa:
🔶 Cut the avocado and tomato. Add to a small bowl.
🔶 Rough chop some cilantro. Add to the small bowl.
🔶 Add juice of a lime together with some salt and black pepper. Mix everything.
For The Fried Shrimps:
🔶 Add flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika powder, onion powder, salt and black pepper to a bowl. Mix this
🔶 Add ⅓ of the mixture to a different bowl. Add water to this and mix till it has a smooth but creamy structure.
🔶 Heat up the oil to 180℃.
🔶 First dip the shrimp in the batter and after in the flour. Add to the hot oil and fry for 5-6 minutes. Repeat till all the shrimps are done.
Finishing Touches:
🔶 Mix yoghurt with lemon juice.
🔶 Heat up the corn tortilla's.
🔶 Add lemon yoghurt to the corn tortilla with on top of that the pickled red cabbage, avocado & tomato salsa, fried shrimps and optional some sriracha.
