How to repair a Bosch GSH 5 CE hammer that is broken and not hammering.
This is a risky repair from the sounds this is making. Broken parts like this can lead to more damage that can make a repair to expensive.
A broken piston is not to bad, as the broken nylon pieces will not cause much damage on there own. But the worn gear is a big risk. You could easily dismantle the whole machine, replace all the damaged or worn parts, install a service kit and rebuild everything, just for the motor to be grinding on mismatched gears and sparking excessively. Which a customer would refuse to pay for.
But the only way find out is to do all the work.
