Having emerged from the torn and bloody earth that once belonged to the Tupiniquim Indians, OS PONTAS hash out SOUL and FUZZ influenced anthems, instrumentalizing soundtracks for a pompadour-shaking-freak-dancing good time. This is the second album, entitled, “Selva de Fuzz” (FUZZ JUNGLE), 12 tracks capable of tweaking mustaches and wasting shoe soles down to their cores. The Tupi Spirit orders that the party starts now with OS PONTAS, since after all, they are the soundtrack to the jungle.

Jamaica. WS: Palm trees edging an island cove. Various shots workers on a banana plantation. CU worker cutting banana roots. Various shots planting the banana root 'bits'. Diagram showing how the roots grow into banana plants in different stages, 4 weeks, 6 months, 9 months, 10 months, 14 months. Various close-up of the plant blossoms, banana bunches and leaves. Shots in the plantation showing the irrigation ditches. A tractor drives towards the camera. CU the tractor is being used for chemical spraying. Shots of the banana harvesting. Workers using long machete to cut the plants and 'backers' carry the huge green banana clusters on their heads. The workers follow a man blowing a conch shell who is signaling the cutting tempo. A women hand out 'tally' discs which will determine payment. The bananas are loaded onto padded trucks. Old banana leaves 'trash' are used to protect the load from the sun. The bananas are washed in huge tanks by hand and sealed into plastic bags, The tips are sealed with a blue protective paste.

A railway train loaded with bananas moves slowly to the docks. The railways trucks go straight on to huge rafts 'lighters' which are pulled by a tugboat to a ship in the channel. CU the ship 'Camito'. WS the tugboat and lighters. The bananas are loaded aboard.



In England, the ship is unloaded by conveyer-belt. English workers loading the bananas. onto elevators CU the ships captain. Many dockside workers carrying the bananas into Fyffes insulated railway wagons. A Man in Fyffes overalls makes notes. The train pulls away. MS the bananas are hung on chains in the wholesalers warehouse to ripen. Inspectors check temperature gauges and the ripening progress and adjust the humidity in the room. The ripened bananas are cut into small bunches in the labeling and packing room.
