Thick column of smoke towers over western Tehran after reported airstrikes | ABS-CBN News

Описание: Eyewitness video released on Tuesday (March 3) showed a thick column of black smoke towering over western Tehran, after airstrikes were reported in the Iranian capital.

Reuters confirmed the location from the buildings, road layout and pavilion which matched satellite imagery of the area. The exact time when the video was filmed could not be verified but no older version of the video was found posted online before March 3.

Israeli military said in a Telegram post on March 3 that they are conducting strikes in Tehran. Iranian news agency ISNA reported that fire broke out in western Tehran after airstrikes on March 3.

Israeli and U.S. forces pounded targets across Iran on Tuesday, prompting Iranian retaliatory strikes around the Gulf as the conflict spread to Lebanon, rattled global markets and sent oil prices sharply higher.

Four days into the war, U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters that the U.S. military had struck numerous Iranian naval and air targets, saying that "just about everything has been knocked out." — Reuters
