The Indian Penal Code 1860 will now be replaced by भारतीय न्याय संहिता, 2023.
भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता will now be established in place of Criminal Procedure Code 1898.
भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम will now be established in place of the Indian Evidence Act 1872.
These three bills include the basic law for the criminal procedure.
Also, we have taken a very historic decision, that is trial in absentia.
Today, we have decided that whoever is declared a fugitive by the Session Court judge after the Due Procedure, will be tried in his absence and he will also be given sentence.
