In Hawaii, many of us grew up "torch fishing". This activity usually involves walking the shallow shoreline waters around our islands. Although we use modern equipment for a light source now, our Hawaiian ancestors used handheld torches.

This upcountry fresh water stream on the Garden Isle of Kaua'i will afford us a rare fresh water torching opportunity.

On this adventure we come across freshwater prawns and more! This night-time activity does provide us with a tasty midnight snack!
