You break a bone, you put on a cast, you immobilize the injured joint or limb the best that you can. Right? Not necessarily. An injury, even one like a broken bone, is not necessarily best served and healed by putting on a cast for 6 weeks and doing nothing to exercise and stretch that joint or limb.
To keep you and that joint or limb strong and flexible and to heal well, MOBILIZE, as soon as possible.
This is the fourth episode of series of short videos, "Quick Questions," in which Dr. Husain, orthopedic surgeon @wideworldofjoints will address a specific question or misconception when it comes to sports and other orthopedic-related injuries, injury treatment, recovery, or the health, function, anatomy and wellness of your musculoskeletal system.
SUBSCRIBE to continue to learn about your joints, how to keep them (and you) healthy, strong and functioning optimally, and what you need to know when pain and injury happens.
