The Urban Management Centre has made a film on Ama Pokhari, meaning "Our Pond", which is a vital initiative launched by the Government of Odisha under the MUKTA scheme. Its objective is to rejuvenate urban water bodies naturally and sustainably, with the help of Mission Shakti Self-help groups as the implementing partners.
Under the initiative, 200 waterbodies in urban areas have been meticulously mapped across the State. This Yojana is fostering a sense of ownership and environmental responsibility among citizens for rejuvenating our water bodies. Young professionals have been hired to support the implementation of the initiative and successfully achieve an ecological change in the State.
