Valley Politics celebrates the beginning of our eighth year with a one-hour special featuring the major contenders in the 2022 election for mayor of San Jose: Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez and San Jose City Councilmembers Raul Peralez, Matt Mahan and Dev Davis. We interviewed them at their homes in December asking all four candidates the same set of questions so you can compare their positions on key issues. If you’re not familiar with any of the candidates, here’s your introduction. If you already know some or all of them, here's a chance to compare their positions on the issues, including the housing crisis, SB9, homelessness, managing Google’s Downtown West project, charter reform and more.
