Strange Tales from Chill City is my heartfelt tribute to Stranger Things—a show that redefined nostalgia and brought back the thrill of supernatural mysteries wrapped in the sentimental backdrop of retro suburbia.

In this epic mashup tribute scene, Chill City becomes Hawkins for one spooky night. Nancy Wheeler’s house sits quietly in the neighborhood, the familiar family station wagon parked in the drive. Mike and Dustin’s bikes lie tossed in the front yard, while the “alphabet wall” from Will’s house blinks with cryptic messages from the other side. High on the hill, Vecna’s house towers over Hawkins, casting an ominous shadow over the neighborhood.

All of this unfolds beneath the eerie pulse of nostalgic synthwave— I wanted the music to capture the vibe of the show as well as the aesthetic of the retro soundtracks of my favorite 80s horror and fantasy movies. I also wanted this to be another unofficial Halloween vibe.

So this one is a little different from my other videos—more of a straightforward Stranger Things tribute, made to capture not just the retro spirit of the show, but also the timeless vibe of spooky season.
