Описание: Before any structure was built for crossing Spring River just North of Hardy, Arkansas, people would ford the river here because the water was usually shallow enough to cross, whether by horseback, in a horse and buggy or by foot. The place became known as Humphries Ford as far back as the 19th century. Eventually, a wooden bridge was constructed, then a low water concrete structure was used. Today, there is a new (high water) bridge bringing river crossing here into the future.
