Finally my 2025 project has come to an end – I've managed to release a new VGM cover every month for a year! (Ok, so I was a little bit late with the last one, but I guess that's ok since it's still 2025 – I'll just pat myself on the back and take some time off for Christmas.)

I love everything about Metroid Prime, especially its music and sound design. Thanks to ‪@SynaMax‬ for his extensive research on the synths and samples used on the Prime soundtracks, both inspiring and helpful!

I've released this cover as a 2-track EP (?) called 'Beyond Metroid Prime', with an original ambient track ('Orbiting Tallon IV') as a B-side.

Fun fact: A few years ago I lived in Linz, Austria for a year and every other day I went for a run on a nearby hill. That's when I started thinking about making a synthwave version of this track, 4/4 instead of 3/4. It's been brewing in my mind since then and now it's finally done..!

ABOUT ME
I make arrangements of video game (and sometimes film) music using sample libraries and synths as well as various acoustic and electric instruments: electric guitar, bass guitar, classical guitar, acoustic guitar, mandolin, melodica and percussion. I've covered classics like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Super Mario as well as newer indie titles such as Night in the Woods, Tunic and Stray. A lot of what I do can be described as ambient, atmospheric or moody. I hope my humble recordings help you sleep, study or just feel better.
