okay okay okay, this video has been in the making since the song came out and I decided that I wanted to finally give you guys a backstory on the villain in this story, Caspian!
At first I cast Alexander Vlahos as Caspian but Matteo Martari is just perfect for this character so....adjustments were made....
I tried to make this video as chronological as possible (I did fail in some parts and I couldn't add ALL parts to the story but hey, that only means more videos, right??)
I'm just going to try to explain most of the points in this video now! Also....I know it's tempting to like this pretty face but Caspian is the epitome of Machiavellian evil, it just ain't it (this is a note to myself, obviously)
Summary:
/Before/
-Elín and Caspian were promised to each other before the events of the story, as it picks up and Elín is sent out to the wolves as ambassador for her father, Caspian accompanies her. However, he does not share the same ideologies of peace amongst the species and also doesn't want her family to rule any longer (all things he keeps a secret). He then kills one of Elín's friends in cold blood and makes it look as if someone from Nico's pack did it. They do realise it however and he is arrested but later manages to escape, and that's when the events unfold....
/In the video/
Caspian swears to return and make Elín pay because in his mind she and her family are the real villains
(- flashback to Tiana seeing Caspian enter the lodgings of their friend who is later killed)
Years go by with little incidents that no one can track down to Caspian, i.e.: Myla is poisoned, Nico is attacked at Elín's and Corin's wedding feast and the village of Nico's pack if burned down and numerous people are killed (they have their suspicions on Caspian but can't prove it nor find him AND there's a rivalry with another pack on Nico's side so no one's ever really sure)
-There's general unrest in the country as people generally do not like change even if it's supposed to be for the better
-Meanwhile Caspian has waited for Elín's father to die and for her coronation to plan his coup because he believes that this is the time in which she will be the most vulnerable
-The day of the peace conference arrives and Caspian succeeds in killing Corin and wounding Kael but misses Elín and Dorian, the latter arrives shortly afterwards to be greeted by a bloody and furious Kael and Lórin who go on a manhunt to (successfully) track Caspian down
Elín meanwhile confronts a minister who has worked behind her back with Caspian and enabled im to get through the heavily guarded city to fulfill his plan - Tiana is present as well and for the first time witnesses Elín losing her temper
(- the minister is executed)
-Kael, Dorian and Elín confront Caspian and his conspirators who in turn only bring up weak arguments for their actions (a traitor's son acting as if Corin killed his father out of seemingly no reason)
In the end, all of them meet their end and Caspian is strung up on the city walls for everyone to see as Lórin and his guard now track down the last remaining conspirators
I hope this is somewhat.....understandable, heh
