Water ice has been found on the Moon! Astronomers detected frozen water ice in the polar craters of the Moon using data from the Moon Mineralogy Mapper on India's Chandryaan 1 spacecraft. This discovery tells us about the Moon's formation and may serve as a fuel depot for human expansion into the solar system.
