In this video, I explain the mechanics of a trap in D&D and go over how to make traps in Dungeons & Dragons. Traps are an icon of D&D, something most games have at least a few of, but designing a good trap can be challenging. Especially if the dungeon master isn't sure how traps work. So, I'll be going over the elements of a trap: purpose, severity, triggers, effects, countermeasures, and placement. Understanding these basic elements of a trap will help DMs create and use them in their own D&D games.
