EU launches $340 billion global infrastructure plan, mirroring China's "Belt and Road" Initiative

Описание: The European Commission on Wednesday announced an international infrastructure plan called "Global Gateway"

The initiative will focus on tackling "the most pressing global challenges" including trade, energy, and transportation

And, there’ll be investments in help building the “soft power”

EU member states and private companies will be part of the plan which is expected to make its first inroads in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia in 2022

No detailed projects have been announced yet
