Hi again, it’s Tom with Satori Graphics back with another graphic design Illustrator tutorial; today we take a look at why the most important tool in Adobe Illustrator is the pen tool. Of course this will come down to personal opinion, as there are so many tools in Illustrator, but I am sure many graphic designers will agree with me on my selection of the most important tool in Adobe Illustrator!

I hope if you are reading this then you have already seen the video, but yes the pen tool is in my opinion, the most important tool in Adobe Illustrator. The advantage of the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator is that it gives you absolute control over the curve. You don't draw a whole bunch of points and then hope the curve will look good. You can manipulate the curve to get the finest detail. It takes some getting used to, but Illustrator is the tool of choice for graphic artists.

The pen tool is the true important tool of this super powerhouse vector based program, from logo designing, digital art and illustrations, to typography design. The pen tool is the most important tool in Adobe Illustrator to me.
