Williamson, West Virginia, in Mingo County

Описание: I recently made a trip to Williamson, West Virginia, to check out the city known as the "Heart of the Billion Dollar Coalfields." As that slogan implies, Williamson has seen its fortunes rise and fall with the coal industry.

I got to see almost everything I wanted to check out in this video but it does come to an abrupt end at the end. A downpour of rain hit just after I got finished with the last segment so I had to skedaddle after trying to wait it out for a while. Unfortunately, it never passed so I had to end the day.

The video takes a look at the old Williamson Memorial Hospital, the Coal House, and the Mountaineer Hotel. I even got to see the "1-hour Dry Cleaning" sign I have always loved so it is well worth checking it out for those.

It used to get me super bummed out when a day ended early and I didn't get to check out everything that I wanted to, but I now know that is just a great excuse to come back again in the future.

The long-abandoned and dilapidated Mountain View Court in Bristol, Virginia, would surely hold a few haunts and ghosts.
