My previous meetings with this species had been struggles to film it "properly", as they had been encounters with individuals who were skittish. Hence, it was such a delightful surprise to meet this particular Himalayan/ Oriental Cuckoo, who was relatively laid back.
Indeed, it was so obliging with its poses, perching for long intervals at various spots around the park.
Himalayan/Oriental Cuckoos are found from northeast Pakistan, northern Indian subcontinent to southern China and winters to Southeast Asia and northern Australia.
In Singapore, they are very rare migrants.
