In the fifth episode of USISPF’s Indo-Pacific Security Dialogues, we analyze Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Washington and his first meeting with President Donald J Trump since his second term began.
As we started the new year, and President Trump got sworn in for the second time, a flurry of world leaders made quick trips to Washington, to engage and re-engage with President Trump and his new cabinet.
Prime Minister Modi was one such leader, who made a short trip to Washington from Paris, just under 30 hours, but with substantial outcomes and policies strengthening the strategic partnership in defense and security, energy, technology cooperation, trade, and counter-terrorism.
