edit: this video was uploaded 9 months ago. it's been roughly 8-9 months since i've played idv and i'd be lying if i said this video didn't make me quit idv

after i uploaded this video of my FRIEND'S encounter with a rather infamous luca player, there was some viewer who used it and sent it to the luca in the video, harassing them on discord and calling them slurs + sending death threats... this had literally NOTHING to do with me and let me say this: i do not condone harassment. it's a low thing to do and i will never harass anyone over this game. yes, i will make videos on toxic players poking fun. but i'll never go out my way to add people or talk shit in postmatch. fun fact! i have postmatch turned off and never plan on turning it on because i despise toxicity in this game

and yet this luca's friends STILL dogpiled my comments and started accusing me of saying slurs, sending death threats yet never bothered to hear my side.

i ended up talking to one of the luca's friends (who was reasonable? but kept accusing me of having ill intent with editing this video which is laughable). the entire conversation was just me apologizing. not once did i receive any notice that their friends would remove their extreme accusations telling other people in replies that i said slurs and that!! has been eating at me!!

i kept contemplating: why the hell did i apologize so many times when i didn't do a single thing wrong? i never called anyone slurs. i didn't harass anyone. i had nothing to do with the person who used this video to harass them. so that brings me to my last point: i'm reinstating this video and i don't care. it's a funny video poking fun at a terrible player who happened to be toxic. be the loud minority, accuse me of stuff that i know i didn't do, i don't care anymore man

they don't have proof of me doing anything they're accusing me of. why? because i don't say slurs. i don't harass people on this game

my video that i put effort of turning a friend's shitty encounter into something funny was used for something disgusting. so i privated it and that was that. but by doing that, i inadvertently admit guilt for something i had nothing to do with. the anxiety messed me up a ton and got me to quit the game altogether.

if you're curious about this stuff, go into the comments and find those dogpiling comments. i beg you to think critically and see how i responded vs. how they treated me. it's actually insane i ended up listening to them and privated this video when i should've just deleted their stupid comments and left it up (i did delete some of their comments because that shit was insane)

this is a long rant but it's mostly just me explaining/providing more context:

btw, roo (asslice) wasn't scared of taking the kite there, she just didn't want to feed the naiad presence (bc what type of hunter would switch from chasing a luca to a marg) and wanted the luca to use that whole spot to kite without her being a distraction

"that's just common game sense" you do not have to be so condescending about it, trust me you can definitely get your point across without all that attitude lol but you don't even have a point here. i'm genuinely trying to understand how you think you're in the right concerning GAME SENSE which is why i asked like. 3 different people (3 people who actively get S badges in rank btw) bc i rly wanted to see where these guys were coming from! yet everyone i asked agreed with roo's decision

if ur not gonna transition from that area do not tell someone to continue decoding there; i feel like i shouldn't have to explain it because the reasons are so obvious (if you get downed in that area like what happened here, pressured cipher + forced early rescues will happen which means no time made for decoding for the others, not to mention again free presence in early game..) it's just a hassle that can be avoided if you just. leave the area which is what roo did

i did not take any part in this nor did i try to because i never try to engage with toxicity, i just found it funny how this luca acted like this when he kited 30s in the best kiting spot on the map and then decided to blame it on my friend. masterful gambit sir

if the duo somehow sees this, i hope sending your friend to say "sl*t your fat wrists" to my friend made you feel better because we're doing just fine! o well! i made this so roo can have a laugh about it ^_^ and just a fun fact, i'm a former alicorn (i don't care for rank) and roo is former S dancer,,,
