Hello! For this video, I will be reviewing the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000, which is priced at around $50 on Amazon at the time of making this video. The link to buy this keyboard will be in the description, along with everything that I am using to make the video and a transcript of the video. With that said, let's get right into the review. Here we can see the front view of the wireless keyboard. The keyboard itself is pretty standard, containing all of the letters of the alphabet in a QWERTY layout, along with a number pad, since this is meant to be a desktop keyboard. As such, it is quite long and covers a large amount of desk real estate. This leaves little room for other tasks on the desk, like doing homework. However, this can be easily remedied by just moving the keyboard out of the way when you want to do other work, or by using it in a desk drawer. The keyboard also has a media section. This section contains keys dedicated to web browsing, like the back, forward, homepage, search, and mail keys. It also has keys dedicated to watching videos, like the play/pause button and the volume up, volume down, and mute keys, which work for any video watching applications and websites. These features make this keyboard a great candidate for day-to-day tasks like browsing the internet, watching tech videos and reviews, and typing up papers. Speaking of typing, let's take a sound test and see how clicky and responsive the keyboard is. Keep in mind that this is a membrane keyboard, so it will not be as clicky as a mechanical keyboard.

Also on the underside of the keyboard, there is a hole in which the batteries go. ‘The keyboard uses two AA batteries for wireless operation, both of which are included in the box. So far, I haven't had to change the batteries once in the year that I have used it, even though it has been left on the whole time. The keyboard only allows for wireless use, since it does not come with a wired option. It comes with a receiver, which can be plugged into a USB port on the computer, for wireless use of the keyboard. The receiver also has LEDs for the F Lock, Caps Lock, and Num Lock keys. As for the wireless range of the keyboard, in my experience of using the keyboard for around a year, the keyboard did not work unless the receiver was on the same plane as the keyboard, causing problems with registering keystrokes unless the receiver was right under the keyboard in my desk drawer or on the same level as the keyboard on my desk.
In conclusion, this keyboard is just right for anyone who is doing day-to-day tasks and activities, like browsing the web, watching videos online, or even casual gaming. However, I would not recommend this keyboard to hardcore gamers, due to issues with wireless connectivity like input lag and unregistered keystrokes and the impact of these issues on gameplay.
Well, that will wrap it up for this video! I hope you enjoyed watching that quick review of the Microsoft Wireless 3000 Keyboard and learned a thing or two while you were at it. Thank you for watching this video, and you will catch me in the next one!
