The story follows Mark S., a grieving widower who leads a team on the severed floor, as he grapples with the unsettling realities of his work and the truth about his wife's death. Season 1 culminates in a finale where Mark's innie (work self) discovers that his wife, who he believed was dead, may be alive and working at Lumon.
