A Prairie Home Companion’s Radio Romance Tour 2013 will be coming to Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center this summer.

A Prairie Home Companion’s Radio Romance Tour 2013 will be coming to Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center this summer.

Host and writer Garrison Keillor, along with others from the radio program will visit CMAC Aug. 1. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will be at 8 p.m.

The show will also include singer/fiddler Sara Watkins, comedian Fred Newman, Rich Dworsky and The Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band with guitarist Pat Donohue and violinist/mandolinist Richard Kriehn, duet singing, improv comedy, Guy Noir Private Eye, poetry, and the News from Lake Wobegon.

A Prairie Home Companion was the subject of a 2006 film — with the same name — written by Keillor and directed by Robert Altman.
