Nohkalikai Falls, located near Cherrapunji (Sohra) in Meghalaya, is the tallest plunge waterfall in India, dropping from a height of about 340 meters. Surrounded by lush green cliffs and misty clouds, this waterfall is not just scenic but also deeply connected to local folklore, making it one of Meghalaya’s most iconic natural wonders.
In this video, my wife and I take on an adventurous trek to the base of Nohkalikai Falls.
We started with a steep downward trek, followed by a challenging route towards Tlai Waterfall, crossing massive rocks along the way. After that, we continued trekking towards the final endpoint of Nohkalikai Falls, navigating through rugged terrain and even passing underneath huge rocks.
This trek tested our endurance and courage, but the experience and views at the end were absolutely worth it. 🌿💧
If you love adventure trekking, hidden waterfalls, and raw nature, this journey through Meghalaya is something you’ll truly enjoy.
📍 Location: Nohkalikai Falls, Cherrapunji (Sohra), Meghalaya
