During a special military operation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to launch missile strikes against military infrastructure facilities and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Crews of the latest generation Tornado-S multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) deliver precise strikes against key enemy military targets at a significant distance from the line of combat contact.

To exclude any possibility of detection, missilemen, among other things, constantly change their location. Starting positions are used strictly once. The time spent on them is limited to a few minutes before and after the combat operation of the installation. The crews change escape routes and shelters several times a day.

The commander of a rocket artillery battery with the call sign “Thunder” said that each of the shelters is first inspected and carefully prepared. Camouflaged access roads are being installed, canopies with mask nets stretched over them are being built, and dugouts are being dug.

The Tornado-S MLRS is designed to destroy individual and area targets. MLRS are an effective support weapon, designed to destroy enemy infantry, light fortifications and armored vehicles, artillery installations and enemy air defense systems. It is used both defensively and offensively.

Each ammunition of this MLRS can receive an individual flight mission and use the capabilities of the GLONASS navigation system, which significantly increases the accuracy of the strike.

The Tornado MLRS is considered one of the best in the world, since in many respects it surpasses not only Soviet prototypes, but also modern foreign analogues.
