Wetting weave

Описание: Part of the making process of Tide Line, 2013.

Tide Line is one work in Alice's exhibition called Tide Marks. Tide Marks includes works on paper, cloth and tapestry weave. Tide Line is made up of 25 hand woven fragments, each with a beach-combed item embedded in the weave. The fragments were submerged in sea water repeatedly in order to allow the rusty metal to mark the fibre in which it is embedded.
