1953 Let Me Go, Devil - Georgie Shaw

Описание: This was “Let Me Go Lover” in an earlier incarnation. Written as a country song, this downbeat and initially unsuccessful tune was recorded by Tex Ritter, Johnny Bond, and Wade Ray....plus this pop arrangement from Georgie Shaw. But because the ravages of alcoholism may not have been a popular lyrical song topic among mainstream record buyers, it was rewritten in late 1954 and “Let Me Go Lover” became one of the memorable ballad hits of the mid-1950s.
