Meilin learns that her family is unlike any other family in that all of the females in the family turn into red pandas (at least until they capture them during a red lunar eclipse). While waiting for the next lunar eclipse, Mei Mei and her friends raise money to go to a 4-town concert where they sing their favorite song, "Nobody like u."
However when the lunar eclipse comes, Meilin gets quite the reaction from her family when she chooses to not let go of her red panda, but keeps it and goes to the concert with her friends. Her mom however doesn't feel that her choice was any good and turns into a red panda herself and goes to the concert where Mei and her mom have a showdown.
In the end, her family accepts the fact that Meilin wants to keep her red panda and allows her to make her own choice.
