2026 VW Golf review

There are so many reasons why the VW Golf hatchback is a better option than a small crossover SUV.

It costs about the same, but it's small - like, properly small - on the outside, and bigger than you'd think on the inside. And now there has been a bit of a glow up inside, with new tech and a new look for the exterior too.

This isn't a cheap small car, and nor is it cheap to service. But it's a lovely thing to live with and you'll see why I like it so much in this review.
