We had the perfect plan: Wake up at 5:00 AM, catch a fresh Kahawai, make Raw Fish on the beach.
What happened? We FAILED!!
From getting locked out of our first spot at Muriwai to battling 100 fishermen at a crowded Cornwallis Wharf, we learned the hard way that surfcasting isn't as easy as it looks. We watched the guy next to us pull in a massive Kingfish while we caught... nothing 😅
But the biggest fail wasn't the fishing. Wait until the end to see the mistake that meant we were NEVER gonna eat raw fish anyways 😂
