BEERMKR: Replacing the Vibrator Motor (Beer Brewing All-Grain, 12-Pack Volume)

Описание: For those who have had a BEERMKR for a while, you may have found that your vibrator motor failed after a year or two of regular use. Since, for now, BEERMKR seems to be selling out of existing inventory and is unable to provide support, this video is an effort to show how to replace the vibrator motor for use in your machine. Beer brewing with this unit has been a game changer for me, so I would like to help promote the continued use of these machines for others who feel the same way about their experience.

The critical part is the motor, and it’s up in the air as to what is the best specification to purchase as a replacement. PMALLONEE (Phil) over on reddit did a lot of research and discovery to conclude the following requirements.

Housing design: R370
Voltage: 12V
Stabilization Screw (found on the original motor): 3mm
RPM: inconclusive

PMALLONEE used a motor with 3000 RPM, which he discovered is much quieter than the original specification. He was pleased with it but divulged the unit did not adequately allow trub to be guided to the waste bag during the fermentation and crash steps.

Based on his discoveries, I decided to look for a 6000 RPM motor with the same specifications.

I purchased the following, but I’ve just noticed there is a discrepancy between the title of the product and the description.

The title fits the specs I intended to acquire, including a 12V designation, but the description shows this motor to be 6V, not recommended for a 12V system. Though my test of the new replacement sounds like it’s ideal, it is possible the motor could wear out quickly. I just don’t know which specification is accurate; the title or description.
