introvert day in summer ✿ resetting my mind + exploring jupiter artland

have you ever felt like life was just happening to you, and you’re merely along for the ride? you wake up, have breakfast, go to work, chat with colleagues, go home, have dinner, hang out, go to sleep, and repeat the same routine—sometimes five days a week. the weekend blurs together, and when your colleague asks, “how was your weekend?” you can’t even remember what you did.

that’s a very privileged problem to have, but nonetheless, when i start feeling this way, i know my mental health isn’t at its best and it’s time to take a breather. i took a week off work in july. i didn’t plan any trips; i just wanted to reset my mind, do some mundane things, enjoy the city i live in, and finally visit Jupiter Artland.

Jupiter Artland is the perfect combination of two things i love: art and nature. over 30 contemporary sculptures are scattered across 120 acres of meadow and woodland. just outside of Edinburgh (a 35-minute bus ride), it’s the perfect place to reconnect with oneself.
