Bhatikar Finally Enters Congress After Resistance, Vows Loyalty

Описание: After days of back and forth, Dr Ketan Bhatikar has officially joined the Indian National Congress, putting an end to speculation surrounding his entry into the party.
The Ponda Block Congress Committee had initially opposed Bhatikar’s induction. However, following a meeting with Goa Congress in-charge Manikrao Thakre and GPCC president Amit Patkar, differences were resolved and the path was cleared for his formal entry.
Speaking after joining the party, Bhatikar clarified that his move was not driven by defection politics. “I have joined the Congress, but not to indulge in defection politics. Sudin Dhavalikar is my guru and will always remain so. I joined the Congress after a lot of thought, and I will stand by the party,” he said.
He further stated that he and Rajesh Verekar would work together for the development of Ponda taluka and expressed confidence that the Congress would win both the upcoming elections.
Bhatikar’s entry is being seen as a significant development in Ponda’s political landscape ahead of the forthcoming polls.
