What was supposed to be a defining offseason for Los Angeles FC has instead turned into confusion, frustration, and a complete lack of direction. The hiring of Marc Dos Santos has raised serious questions among fans — not because he’s unqualified, but because LAFC appears to be drifting away from the identity and ambition that once made them one of MLS’s elite clubs.
At the same time, LAFC’s failure to build a clear plan around Son Heung‑min (손흥민) is becoming impossible to ignore. If LAFC truly wants to attract and maximize a global superstar of his caliber, this offseason has done the opposite. The lack of decisive roster upgrades, uncertainty in leadership, and slow movement in the transfer market all point to a club that is failing to support Son Heung-min (손흥민) the way a marquee player deserves.
