One of my absolute favourite songs to play on guitar! This is, in my opinion, one of Mike's best riffs and the whole songs just rips from start to finish. If you'd like to know how to play this song or would like the TAB, they are both available on my Patreon page (link below).

GUITAR TONE
There's only overdrive to talk about in this cover - I'm using my Suhr Eclipse. This is a dual overdrive - one side is set with a small amount of gain and the other side is using a great deal more. I'm simply changing between these amounts of gain throughout the song.
If you rely on your amp for your overdrive/distortion, I would recommend using another drive pedal on your clean sound just to add a little extra crunch so it's not totally clean. And if you have a clean amp and have two overdrive pedals, use one with low gain and the other with a high gain sound.

I also used an MXR 6 band eq to really shape the tone for this one (in the effects loop). A lot of the 500 - 800 has been stripped out and the low mids at 100 - 200 have been boosted. The treble has been restrained too, to give that really fat guitar sound.
