20 Solo Dates Series to Become Comfortable Being Alone

I’ve been single & have lived alone for 4 years which I love! I’ve become pretty comfortable being in my own company (maybe too comfortable??).

This is a little list of 20 solo date ideas that have helped me really connect with myself, become comfortable being alone, do the things that I want to do & live my life.

1. Book those lessons for something you’ve been wanting to do - I’m taking swimming & horse riding lessons
2. Use to plan a hiking route & go for a hike
3. Try a beach/waterfront sauna
4. Take a class - pottery, photography, dancing etc.
5. Take yourself out to dinner to that restaurant you’ve been wanting to try
6. Spend an afternoon being a tourist in your own town or city
7. Spend a day being a tourist in a new town
8. Plan & book a solo trip - I’m going on my next one this week!
9. Take a book to your favourite coffee shop. If you don’t have a favourite coffee shop, visit new ones!
10. Book a massage, facial or head spa
11. Go to a yoga/pilates/self defence(!!!)/fitness class
12. Attend a group or 1-1 sound bath
13. Light a candle, make your favourite drink & spend an afternoon organising your finances! I know this one doesn’t sound fun, but once I stopped burying my head in the sand with my finances, I felt much more in control of my life & budgeted for fun activities & solo dates!
14. Book a show or go to the cinema
15. Buy a concert ticket
16. Go to a car boot sale or vintage market & spend an afternoon thrifting
17. Start a new hobby at home - painting, drawing, DIY, reading, cooking, baking
18. Go for a walk & listen to a podcast or book - my current go to listen on walks is podcasts
19. Visit the new pastry shop that you’ve been wanting to try
20. Find & attend group events that you can join on your own - running & book clubs, hiking, wild swimming & paddle boarding groups etc.
