Описание: On October 6, Oakville Council, led by Mayor Rob Burton, unanimously approved a motion supporting the urgent expansion of acute care capacity at Halton Healthcare’s Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and Milton District Hospital. With the region’s population growing and aging rapidly, Halton Healthcare seeks funding to fit out existing shelled-in space, adding 111 new acute medical beds. This expansion would increase capacity quickly and cost-effectively, supporting seniors, youth, and the wider community. The resolution has been sent to provincial leaders to request timely approval and funding.
