The Secret Behind Fall Fly Fishing Success

Описание: One of the best ways to have success during fall is to follow the bugs.
 
Okay, not literally -- you don't need to put on a snorkel and float down the river 😂
 
BUT, you do need to pay attention to when the bugs are most active.

When the bugs are most active is when the fish will be most willing to feed, which means your chances of catching fish are MUCH higher.
 
During fall, with the cooler nights and mornings, the bugs don't really get going until things warm up a bit.

Mid-morning through mid-afternoon start to become the best times to fish, as opposed to early morning and late evening during the summer.
 
Once the water warms up, the bugs start hatching, and the fish follow them to the riffles and faster water, feeding pretty consistently until the hatch peters off.

This can provide some of the BEST dry fly fishing of the year, and fall mayfly hatches are among my favorite to fish.
