Irish Couple's First 24 Hours in The USA 🇺🇸

Join us for the first 24hours of our 2-week road-trip through the Deep South, starting off in Tennesee.

Having never stepped a foot in Tennessee between us, it is safe to say we felt the cultural differences from back home as soon as we landed. After flying from Dublin to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to Nashville, it is safe to say we felt the tiredness from flying but showed up with the most child-like excitement as we began our trip of a life-time. For our first night, we stayed in Nashville, The Music City. With 2 hungry bellies, our first priority was filling them with some good, southern food. What better place to do this for 2 Irish tourists other than Hattie B's Hot Chicken joint, because, when in Nashville.We are not quite sure the Irish are built for the hottest of Nashville hot chicken 🥵

Our first night in Nashville came with a well-learned lesson, please learn from our mistakes if you are planning on hitting up Broadway 🫣

The next day we headed out towards the Tennessee countryside, and we were completely blown away by the difference in the houses here compared to home, we aren't jealous at all...

We drove out to the quaint little town of Bell Buckle. Whilst it is a small town with a population of around only 450, it has got a mighty main street that has that 'straight out of a movie' kinda feel to it. We had a little dander into a few shops where we got to chat to a lovely lady, whilst waiting on a table in the Bell Buckle Cafe, and boy, was it worth the wait... 🤤

After eating some more good hearty southern feel-good food, we headed further into the Tennessee countryside, where the lovely Tennessee weather gave us a little feel of home which got in the way of our plans to go for a walk in Tims Ford State Park. You win some, you lose some, and I suppose we are well used to that craic back at home! ☔️

Not a bad start to our Southern road-trip, I guess it can only go up from here, right? Stay tuned 👀
