You should still practice shooting with iron sights even if optics such as LPVOs, red dots, holographic sights, etc. still exist. I primarily shoot my Aimpoint Comp M4s, EOTech EXPS 2-0, and Trijicon ACOG, but shooting my M16A4's carry handle sights make me practice crucial shooting skills.
