രാജ്യത്താകമാനം വ്യാപകമായി വര്ധിച്ചുവരുന്ന ഓണ്ലൈന് സാമ്പത്തിക തട്ടിപ്പുകള്ക്ക് കടിഞ്ഞാണിടാന് ശക്തമായ നടപടികളുമായി കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാര് രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് 'വിംഗോ' എന്ന പേരില് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആന്ഡ്രോയിഡ് ആപ്പ് വഴി ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകളെ കബളിപ്പിച്ച് കോടിക്കണക്കിന് രൂപ തട്ടിയെടുത്ത സംഘടിത സംഘത്തെ തകര്ക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് കീഴിലുള്ള ഇന്ത്യന് സൈബര് ക്രൈം കോര്ഡിനേഷന് സെന്റര് പ്രത്യേക ഓപ്പറേഷന് ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ നടപടികളുടെ ഭാഗമായി, തട്ടിപ്പിന് മുഖ്യമായും ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്ന ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ടെലിഗ്രാം ചാനലുകളും ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളും കേന്ദ്ര സര്ക്കാര് ബ്ലോക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
The Central Government has launched a decisive crackdown on the rising wave of online financial fraud across the country. Specifically, the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has initiated a special operation to dismantle an organized syndicate that has defrauded millions of people of crores of rupees through an Android app called 'Wingo.' As part of these measures, the government has blocked thousands of Telegram channels and groups that were primarily used to facilitate these scams
